With thanks to the National Lottery and the Nineveh Trust Grant Awards we are now in a position to commence our first phase of proposed path and site upgrade works.
The works are scheduled to be undertaken from Monday 2nd November until Friday 6th November by our appointed contractor Richard Porter of Garden Vision, some clearance/preparation work may be undertaken during the weekend before.
Please note the works will involve plant and machinery and due to health and safety restrictions the paths, as identified below and on the plan, will be CLOSED for the duration of the works.
- Margery Lane Main Gate to Common Plot
- Common Plot to Grape Lane
- Plot 24 to Grape Lane (Plot 7b)
- Margery Lane Second Entrance to Plot 73
The path works will involve the widening of the existing paths to install a 1200mm wide ‘ Hoggin ‘ path, with edging where required and ‘geogrid’ on slope areas.
This will require excavation of existing path and replacement, trimming and cutting of existing hedges to accommodate and in places widening of bank edging.
In addition the following works will also be undertaken :
- Upgrade to the stage area on the Common Plot
- 4 new gates to be installed
To allow unhindered access to the site, deliveries and parking for the contractor the Main Entrance Car Park area will be closed from Sunday 1 November until Friday 6th November and please keep the entrance clear.
